Great Tribute to Montenegro Insurance Market

XXThe annual 20th Regional Meeting of the SEE – South Eastern European Bureaus Members of the Concil of Bueaux, Brussels – was held in Sofia from 19th to 21st September 2016.

Montenegro was elected Member of the Management Committee for three years terms of office during the direct voting election procedure by the representatives of 14 countries.

Thus, Montenegro and the whole insurance market gain tribute for their work. The success can be considered more significant bearing in mind the short period of time as of January 2012 when Montenegro was accepted as full member of the Council of Bueraux and now was elected a Management Committee Member, an authority responsible for managing the whole system.

The General Assembly of the National Bureau of Montenegro Insurers (NBMI)

Nebojša Šćekić, the new Chairman of the NBMI Assembly

The today’s meeting of the General Assembly of the National Bureau of Montenegro Insurers (NBMI) discussed number of issues related to the insurance market after the changes in the management.

The longstanding chairman’s term of office held by prof. dr. Radenko Puric has expired. The new chairman Nebojsa Scekic has been elected. Mr. Scekic has been a successful executive manger in Sava Montenegro Insurance for a long period of time. He has expressed his appreciation supported by other Assembly Member to Mr. Puric for his role in foundation and successful leadership in Association.

Mr. Dejan Bajic, the executive manager of Generali Insurance has been elected for the new vice-president and the new executive manager of Lovcen Insurance, Mr. Matjaz Bozic, has been elected the new Member of the NBMI Assembly. Ms. Nela Belevic, the executive manager of Uniqa nezivotno insurance and Mr. Ivan Lero, the executive manager of Swiss Insurance are also Members of the Assembly.

National Bureau of Montenegro Insurers supports the work of the Department for road traffic safety of Montenegro Ministry of Internal Affairs

Donation of cameras for accidents reports

Podgorica 21.4.2016.

National Bureau of Montenegro Insurers (NBMI) has continued the cooperation with the Department of road traffic safety of Montenegro Ministry of Internal Affairs by donating 60 digital cameras for accidents reports.

Boris Saban, the executive manager of NBMI, on occasion of this donation stated that its objective is to increase the technical equipment for the teams that do the accidents reports and thus increase the efficiency and quality level of their work.

The successful action of National Bureau of Montenegro Insurers and Montenegro Ministry of Internal Affairs

1000 conscienceless drivers penalized

Podgorica 12.4.2016.

During the period from 16th March to 1st April the cooperative action by National Bureau of Montenegro Insures and Montenegro Ministry of Internal Affairs was conducted aiming to decrease the numbers of unregistered vehicles in circulation – “Stop to the unregistered vehicles”.

Boris Saban, the executive manager of the NBMI stated that this institution and Montenegro Ministry of Internal Affairs have successfully established mutual cooperation. They wish to achieve the socially significant activity aiming to decrease the number of uninsured and unregistered vehicles in circulation as well as to increase the road traffic safety. However, despite the significant efforts of the relevant institutions there are still a great number of uninsured and unregistered vehicles in circulation. Therefore, we are glad that our mutual action has succeeded.” - concludes Saban.

Dragan Klikovac, the manager of the Department of road traffic safety of the Police directorate, when speaking about the results of this action stated that during its period as a result of intensive control the traffic police officials have issued 1.006 offense orders and 55 offense charges to the drivers who circulated with the unregistered vehicles or vehicle with the expired vehicle certificates. Furthermore, during this action two criminal charges were filed against the drivers who circulated with unregistered vehicles and used the registration plates issued for other vehicles.
